Astute Reading
11.12.2011 I'm reading Mindy Kaling's Is Everyone Hanging Out Without Me? (Because of course I am, because right now in my life I am only interested in female comedians and puppies. As a sidenote, I am so done with the term "comediennes." Just because women have more genitals than men there have to have more letters in everything that describes something feminine? DUMB.) and I wanted to share this fantastic observation she makes about people who play Frisbee:
Unlike other athletes, Frisbee people won’t let it go. My theory is that this is because there’s a huge overlap between people who are good at Frisbee and people who do Teach for America. The same instinct to make at-risk kids learn, which I admire so much, becomes deadly when turned on friends trying to relax on a Sunday afternoon in the park.
